Texas Frightmare Weekend

Hey Everyone! :) It's been a little bit since I last got with you. I want to apologize for that. I'm here today to talk about Texas Frightmare Weekend that me and my family attended this past weekend. It's amazing and so awesome. If anyone doesn't know what that is its a Horror Convention and they have celebrity guests that come and you can meet them and get pictures and autographs. It's all horror related and if you know me then you know my love and passion for Horror.  It was such an amazing experience. I went with my husband and our 6 year old son. We had a blast. I would have loved to have met everyone there, but we had a list of our must sees when we decided to come. It can get kinda expensive so thats is why some didn't make the list to actually meet, but we still got to see everyone there and hear their voices! :) But everyone we came to see we got to see! My main that I wanted to meet was Jeff Daniel Phillips and Malcolm McDowell. I have to just stop and say....Yes, I am in love with Jeff! He is amazing and he was #1 for me to meet. He was such an amazing guy. I mean he was just as beautiful as he is in the movies. He was so Tall and charming. He was all around a great guy and was everything I hoped he would be and more. I was so awkward and star struck I know he probably thought I was nervous wreck. haha But It was just so surreal that I was meeting him face to face! We also met Malcolm McDowell(who is another one i was just star struck with), Tom Savini, Richard Brake and my husband and son wanted to meet Shannon Elizabeth. I was so thrilled to have been given the blessings and abilities to go this year. We were super happy with everything and also our wonderful Hotel. They were fabulous as well. The whole thing lasts 3 days. It starts on a Friday and ends that following Sunday. It's in Dallas, TX so anyone who might be interested in this and who loves any and everything horror should definitely come check it out. Like I said everyone was so nice and was not disappointing. Richard Brake was so sweet and funny as well. We really enjoyed meeting him.  I just can't say enough about this trip and express just how much it meant to me. I'll post some pics from our wonderful weekend. It was an honor to meet such great people. Thanks and I'll be back soon! :)

October Movie Watches

Ok, as promised here is my list of my October movie musts for the season. And like I said in the last one I have many more movies I enjoy watching this time of year, but I am just highlighting my main musts that I never miss watching at this time. It's my main favorites! And also I'll add below what we listen to on our Jack-o-lantern carving night. Now some of these movies don't take place on Halloween, but they still have that Halloween feel to them to me. Here we go again...

October Movie Watches

Now here is something new we are starting this year on our Jack-o-lantern carving night. Once again I'm giving thanks to Anthony Rapino for this awesome suggestion. I ordered this prize on Cassette tape, but I also received a digital download with my order. We can't wait to try this out this year! And we also received a really cool DVD in Box of Dread that I think will be really cool to try out this year while we carve our jack-o and also while we are making crafts as a setting for the mood. It's digital decorations. We got Night Stalkers. We have actually already tried it out and it's really scary!

I also wanted to take the time to add a couple things that are going to be new this year to add to our movie must traditions.
They are...

September Movies Watches

Every year starting on the first of September is when I get into Halloween mode, but you already know all that. You also know it technically starts on the last day of August with a Bonfire to start the Halloween  season for us. I wanted to take some time today to talk about the certain movies I watch starting September 1st. I also want to take a moment to give credit to the awesome, Anthony Rapino (http://candycornapocalypse.storenvy.com/)  for the idea to make this list of movies that I watch religiously each year. There are certain movies I start with in September because they got that Halloween feel to me. They bring out the season and gets me in the Halloween mood. I'll start this blog off with the September Movie Musts for me. I'll also make a separate blog with my October Movies Musts as well. In that one I'll include what we do during our Jack-o-lantern carving night... And there are also lots of other movies I enjoy watching at this time of year that I won't have listed below, but I just wanted to take the time to highlight my main watches for the season.
Here we go... Hang on tight...It's a long ride...
